EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIP FOR DRIVERS

Franck Nivard has won the 2018 European Driving Championship that was organized by Norway and Sweden from June 27 to 28. This competition consists of 5 step at  Bjerke (NO) racetrack and 5 at  Åby (SE) racetrack.

  3. Eirik Höitomt (Norway) - 85 points

  7. John Richardson (Ireland) - 60 points
  8. Hubert Brandstätter (Austria) - 56 points
  9. Steen Juul (Denmark) - 56 points
  10. Miguel Mestre (Spain) - 52 points
  11. Ulf Ohlsson (Sweden) - 44 points
  12. Mario Minopoli Jr (Italy) - 43 points

The 6 first drivers of the 2018 European Driving Championship are qualified to participated in the 2019 World Driving Championship which will be held in Sweden in May.

The 2017 World Driving Championship was held in Canada from  August 12 to 18, 2017. Final ranking: 1. James MacDonald (CA), 2. Mika Forss (FI), 3. Marcus Miller (US), 4. Dexter Dunn (ITA/NZ), 5. Björn Goop (SE), 6. Noel Baldacchino (MT), 7. Eirik Høitomt (NO), 8. Shane Graham (AU), 8. Gerhard Mayr (AT), 10. Mark Purdon (NZ) & 11. Rik Depuydt (BE).

The European Championship for Drivers was founded in 1969 and organized alternately with the World Driving Championship.

EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIP FOR APPRENTICES

Russia has hosted the 2018 European Championship for Apprentices in September. This challenge was organized on September 1st and 2nd at Akbuzat racetrack (city of Ufa) in Russia.

Danny Brouwer, Netherlands has won the 2017 European Championship for Apprentices that was organized by Norway on two days on September 2-3. 

Founded in 1986, the aim of the European Championship for Apprentices is to compete the best young drivers who are chosen by their federations.
