The UET is the foundation and the link. With the development of international relations in breeding, racing and betting, the UET is called upon to play a key role in the years to come.
The main purpose of the European Trotting Union (UET) is the promotion of trotting races and horse breeding in Europe. UET 's specific mission is to set up a close and lasting relationship between member Federations. The objective of European Trotting Union is to harmonize the races in Europe, to establish common rules, to develop an international racing calendar, creating prestigious meetings, as the UET Grand Prix.
The UET General Assembly is made up with 20 member federations which are distributed in 3 groups:
Group 1 : France, Italy, Sweden
Group 2 : Belgium, Germany, Norway, Netherlands, Russia, Finlanda, Denmark
Group 3 : Serbia, Switzerland, Spain, Czech Republic, Malta, Slovenia, Estonia, Hungary, Austria, Lithuania
The UET Board is elected by the General Assembly. It is made up of 10 members representing the Member federations. The Board shall be elected for a three-year period and hold a minimum of two meetings per year.
The UET committees meet once a year at least, in order to propose different changes to the regulations which may be accepted by UET member countries.
On Sunday 17th may, Bret Boko was a surprise winner in the Finlandia Ajo at Vermo. The 7-yo. won the first Gr.1 event of his career trotting a modest 1’12’’2 km rate.
